One Friday morning, a Putnam County elementary teacher, arriving late to school, saw one of her students

walking along busy Highway 17. She stopped and asked why she was walking. The child replied, “I missed the

bus, and I need my food bag to take home this weekend. My brother and sister need food.”

Thanks to generous donors like you, Feed the Need of Putnam County makes a difference in this child’s life

and the lives of more than 800 food-insecure children every weekend. That’s 125,000 meals, plus snacks and

drinks, provided over the weekends each school year.

Feed the Need of Putnam County is proud to supply Putnam County Schools with food pantries that send

food home every weekend.

As we approach the 2026–2027 school year, our fundraising campaign is
